How it works

1. Register

Complete the form. We confirm eligibility and send your agreement and instructions.

2. Make the intro

With the client’s permission, email their details to [email protected] before they contact us, or have them mention your name the first time they reach out. Disclose any compensation.

3. We follow up

We review their goals and property and take good care of them from there.

4. We pay

$2,500 after a signed construction agreement, cleared deposit and complete paperwork.

What you get. $2,500 per new household, paid after a signed construction agreement and cleared deposit. Requires a partner agreement, W-9 and payout paperwork. Prior build clients don’t qualify. No referral limit. For licensed real estate professionals, payment is made to the brokerage where required.

Who can register. Real estate agents and brokers, lenders, financial planners, estate attorneys, senior care advisors, architects and designers. Our partner agreement follows general guidelines. You’re responsible for knowing what your state, profession and employer allow. My ADU employees and their immediate families are not eligible.

Register as a partner

Luke reviews every registration. Once you’re approved, we send your partner agreement, a W-9 request and your partner toolkit.

Questions

Within 10 business days after your referred household signs a construction agreement and their deposit clears, and your partner agreement, W-9 and payout request form are on file.

Yes. Washington and Oregon restrict how licensed brokers receive outside compensation, so where required we pay your brokerage. Our partner agreement follows general guidelines. You’re responsible for knowing what your state, profession and employer allow.

With your client’s permission, email their details to [email protected] before they contact us, or have them mention your name the first time they reach out.

Households that are already My ADU clients, or that contacted us before your referral, don’t qualify. Prior build clients don’t qualify either.

12 months from the date it’s recorded. If two partners refer the same household, the first one on record receives the thank-you.

Yes, when your referred household signs.

No. One $2,500 thank-you per referred household, as many households as you introduce.

Luke Shaffer, Owner. (360) 309-6134. [email protected].

My ADU Professional Referral Program terms: Open to registered, approved professional partners only. The introduction must reach My ADU before the household’s first contact, or the household must name the partner at first contact. One $2,500 thank-you per new referred household, paid within 10 business days after a signed construction agreement, cleared deposit and complete paperwork. A signed partner agreement and W-9 are required before any payment. A 1099 will be issued when federal law requires it. For licensed real estate professionals, payment goes to the brokerage where required. Once paid, the thank-you is the partner’s to keep, even if the project later cancels. Either party can end the partner agreement with written notice. Referrals recorded before that remain payable for 6 months. My ADU may change or end the program. Referrals recorded before a change keep the terms in place when they were recorded.
